New Logistics Centre in Southern Germany as from 2012

On a former airfield of Leipheim we plan to build a new logistics centre on at first a 20.000 m² estate located Gustav-Stresemann-Straße 2, 89340 Leipheim.

This location is specifically intended for bulk and freeflowing foodstuffs and plastics, as well as their storage and distribution. The new Leipheim logistics centre will combine all of the services that we have already been providing at our Duisburg, Wesel and Worms locations.

Two independent warehouse complexes form the core of the Leipheim logistics centre – each served by its own silo tower – along with specialised packing, shelving, sorting and debagging facilities in order to meet the varied demands from carriers. Loose bulk goods can be filled into sacks, Big Bags, or Octabins. A photovoltaic power generation installation to cover the location‘s power requirement is planned for the warehouse roof.

A tower silo installation, in-house petrol station and a twolane repair shop for trucks will be built along with the two logistics warehouses at the Leipheim location.

In addition, the company site will include a public cleaning facility for silo trailers. Besides, the company site serves strategic requirements.

The location is situated directly next to the A8 highway that runs from Stuttgart to Munich, just seven kilometres from the A7/A8 Ulm/Elchingen highway junction, twenty-two kilometres from Ulm GVZ freight village and sixty from Augsburg GVZ freight village. Therefore, storing of silo containers for further transport via the freight villages at Ulm and Augsburg is performed, too.
