Breaking and crushing

Difficult flow characteristics, caking, blockages and agglomeration can seriously disrupt product filling and refilling processes. We employ a number of different dispersal, refining and fluidisation technologies to prevent such undesirable effects. Frequently, simple dispersal by means of a vibratory sieve or a tumbler screen is sufficient. In the case of persistent clumping, the essential properties of the product must be taken into account to achieve the desired grain size – for this, we use machines such as a lump crusher.

Temperature sensitive products such as thermoplastics present particular challenges in this respect. Here, we work with cooled cutting shafts and stepless speed control by means of a magnetic power transmission. The contact pressure is also individually adjustable. Temperatures below 40°C are therefore unproblematic.
